Nocturnal OB Hospitalist position in San Diego, CA

Great opportunity in San Diego, CA for a Nocturnal OB Hospitalist to work with a prestigious and well known group.

• Board Eligible or Board Certified OBGYN
• Full Time perm position - 2 shifts per week - 7p-7a with flexibility to add more shifts if wanted
• If you want to keep your GYN practice, you can add some clinic shifts as an option
• Doc in the box for emergencies - provide assistance for emergency c-sections and always have a doc to assist for surgeries
• On-Call backup OBGYN's are also available if it gets busy
• Responsible for L&D, triage, postpartum, ED calls, and occasional GYN emergency surgery (ectopic)
• Per night can range from 4-5 deliveries, up to 9
• CNM's take low risk patients
• Patients come through triage, nurses assess and provide assessment of patient on whether they are in labor - if in labor CNM would admit them
• Most calls taken with exp CNMs, and back-up physicians are always available
• On-site overnight room for provider
• $2500 per shift, $600 per half day of clinic, full benefits, and more
