PRN Hospital Medicine Advanced Practice Clinician in Palatka, FL

TeamHealth is seeking a PRN nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our hospital medicine program at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital in Palatka, Florida. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced inpatient NP or PA seeking flexible scheduling while remaining part of a collaborative hospital medicine team. This daytime-only position offers 12-hour shifts from 7am to 7pm with a flexible PRN schedule designed to support work-life balance, while providing meaningful inpatient care coverage. Candidates must have prior inpatient experience.

In This Role, You Will...

• Provide comprehensive care for adult hospitalized patients
• Perform admissions, daily rounding, consultations, and follow-up evaluations
• Develop treatment plans and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, specialists, and care management teams
• Assist with care coordination and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team

Qualified Candidates Will Have...

• Current Florida NP or PA license, or eligibility to obtain licensure
• National board certification as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
• Required: previous inpatient clinician experience in hospital medicine, internal medicine, critical care, or a related inpatient setting
• Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment
