Job Description
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity in Washington, DC. This outpatient primary care position offers the opportunity to provide essential healthcare services to adult students in a university setting. The ideal provider will be comfortable managing a broad range of primary care needs, addressing urgent walk-in concerns, and working collaboratively with an onsite clinical support team.
Overview
- Outpatient primary care setting
- Adult patient population
- Average of 10–14 patients per day
- Monday and Tuesday schedule from 8 AM to 4 PM
- Occasional Saturday coverage from 9 AM to 1 PM
- Walk-in and urgent care services
- Onsite support from RNs, MAs, and APPs
- New patient visits scheduled for 20 minutes
- Follow-up visits scheduled for 15 minutes
- Documentation completed in real time, by the end of the shift, or post-shift as required
- Pyramed EMR
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Active license required
- BLS certification required
