Locum Mammography Radiology Physician - Leesburg, FL

We’re looking for a Board-Certified mammography radiologist to join a locum tenens team in Leesburg, Florida. This role centers on high-quality mammography care, with opportunities to read a range of general radiology studies. Experience in musculoskeletal and neuroradiology is a welcome plus.

What you’ll be doing

• Interpret screening and diagnostic mammograms and perform diagnostic mammography procedures when needed.
• Read general radiology studies across modalities - X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy.
• Evaluate MSK and neuroimaging studies as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and collaborate closely with the clinical team to ensure excellent patient care.

Practice snapshot

• Location: Leesburg, Florida (locum tenens)
• Typical daily volume: ~90-100 studies per 8-hour shift
• Expected productivity: 60-70 wRVUs per shift
• Modalities: X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy
• Case mix: Primarily screening and diagnostic mammography, with MSK and neuro cases
• Systems: Epic EMR, Merge PACS, Fluency dictation
• Weekend/on-call: None

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with Board Certification in Radiology
• Active Florida medical license and current DEA registration
• Proven mammography interpretation experience required
• Comfortable interpreting general radiology studies; MSK and neuroradiology experience preferred
