Job Description
Location: Lansing, MI (clinic across from a Level I trauma center)
Position type: Locum tenens; outpatient medical oncology (adults only)
Schedule
- 3 clinic days per week
- Hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- No weekends, no on-call
Practice details
- Setting: 100% outpatient clinic
- Patient population: Adults only
- Typical volume: ~17-20 patients/day
- EMR: Epic
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult oncology patients
- Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans; prescribe therapies
- Manage select benign hematologic conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging
- Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board certification in oncology required
- Active Michigan medical license required
- Current BLS certification required
