Locum Tenens Board-Certified General Radiologist - Mammography & Light IR (Titusville, FL)

Board-certified Radiology physician needed for a locum tenens assignment in Titusville, FL. Candidate must interpret general radiology studies, perform mammography and breast biopsies, and provide light interventional procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interpret X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy studies.
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography and breast procedures, including needle biopsies and stereotactic breast biopsies.
• Perform light interventional procedures: biopsies, drainages, lumbar punctures.
• Perform additional procedures as needed: paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drainage, chest tube placement, myelograms, epidurals.
• Accurately document findings and procedures in the EMR.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to support timely diagnosis and patient care.

Practice Details

• Daily volume: ~90-100 studies per 8-hour shift
• Expected productivity: 60-70 wRVUs per shift
• Modalities: X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy
• EMR: Epic
• PACS: Merge
• Dictation: Fluency

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board certification in Radiology
• Active Florida medical license
• DEA registration
• Experience with mammography and breast biopsies (needle and stereotactic)
• Competence in interpreting general radiology studies and performing light interventional procedures
