Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician - Nights & Weekend Call, Level III Trauma Center (Colorado Springs)

Board-Certified OB/GYN needed for locum tenens inpatient coverage in Colorado Springs, CO. Coverage is overnight and weekend call at a Level III Trauma Center with an onsite NICU and Epic EMR.

Compensation

• $3,500/day

Schedule

• Weeknight call: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Weekend call: Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
• Coverage required: 3 total weeks, including 3 weekends
• Setting: Inpatient

Clinical responsibilities
Obstetrics

• Manage low- and high-risk pregnancies, including diabetes, hypertensive disorders/toxemia, cardiac disease, renal and pulmonary comorbidities
• Interpret fetal heart monitoring (NST, CST, FSE)
• Manage routine and complicated deliveries: vaginal, C-section, breech, multiple gestations
• Provide VBAC management and repair third- and fourth-degree perineal lacerations
• Manage obstetric emergencies and cesarean complications (including hysterectomy when required)

Gynecology

• Perform emergency and major gynecologic surgeries: ectopic management, oophorectomy, ovarian cystectomy, extensive lysis of adhesions
• Perform suction D&Cs and other indicated gynecologic procedures
• Provide emergency gynecologic evaluation and treatment

Requirements

• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active Colorado medical license
• DEA registration
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
• Demonstrated experience with high-risk obstetrics, complex deliveries, and emergency gynecologic surgery
