Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Jackson, Michigan. This hospital-based position emphasizes inpatient cardiology rounding with physicians and includes some outpatient care. The role serves adult and geriatric patients.
Schedule
- Two weeks per month: 7 days on, 7 days off
- Daily hours: Sunday-Saturday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
- Weekend coverage required
- No overnight shifts or on-call duties
Key responsibilities
- Assist physicians with inpatient cardiology rounds and patient management
- Evaluate and manage adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular conditions
- Perform serial assessments and monitor clinical progress
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the cardiology team
- Provide limited outpatient cardiology care
- Accurately document encounters and coordinate interdisciplinary care
Qualifications
- NP: AANP certification; PA: NCCPA certification
- Active Michigan license required
- Cardiology experience preferred
