Locum Interventional Radiology Physician - Robbinsdale, MN (Level I Trauma & Thrombectomy Center)

Board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Radiology physician needed for a locum position at a Level I Trauma Center and thrombectomy-capable stroke center in Robbinsdale, MN. Inpatient-only practice providing general interventional radiology and cerebral embolectomy services.

Compensation

• $450 per hour

Schedule & Call

• Daytime hospital coverage: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Overnight pager call required
• Call ratio: 1:2
• Minimum commitment: 2 weeks per month
• Average after-hours callback: 1-2 times per week
• Weekend coverage may be required

• Setting: Inpatient/hospital-based
• Patient population: Adults only
• Average daily procedure volume: ~10 cases weekdays, ~6 cases weekends
• Trauma designation: Level I Trauma Center
• Stroke services: Thrombectomy-capable stroke center
• EMR: Epic
• No leadership or teaching responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general interventional radiology procedures
• Perform cerebral embolectomy/thrombectomy procedures
• Provide moderate sedation as appropriate
• Evaluate patients and develop interventional treatment plans
• Respond to overnight pager and perform after-hours procedures as needed
• Collaborate with hospitalists, neurologists, surgeons, and care teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic
• Deliver timely, high-quality care for adult inpatients

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Interventional Radiology
• Active Minnesota medical license
• Current ACLS certification
