Locum Tenens Orthopedic Hand Surgeon - Level I Trauma Center (Lakewood, CO)

Join a Level I Trauma Center in Lakewood, CO, providing 24-hour hand surgery call coverage for emergency department and transfer center consultations. This locum opportunity focuses on evaluation and management of acute hand injuries in the inpatient and ED settings; note that reimplantation procedures are not performed at this facility.

Compensation

• $3,200 per day

Schedule & Coverage

• 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 AM)
• Weekend coverage required
• Inpatient and Emergency Department coverage as part of Level I Trauma services
• Documentation in Epic

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely 24-hour call coverage for ED and transfer center hand injury consultations
• Evaluate and manage acute hand injuries requiring specialty care
• Coordinate treatment plans and hand surgery management with ED and inpatient teams
• Determine need for transfer or operative intervention and document all evaluations and plans in Epic

Required Qualifications

• Board certification in Hand Surgery or Board certification in a surgical specialty with hand surgery qualifications
• Active Colorado medical license
• Current DEA registration
