Cardiac Anesthesiology Physician - Hospital-Based Team, High-Acuity Cardiac Cases in Martinsburg, WV

Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia

Join a hospital-based anesthesia team providing comprehensive perioperative care for cardiac and surgical patients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver anesthetic care for cardiac and noncardiac surgical cases
• Perform preoperative evaluations and create individualized anesthesia plans
• Administer and manage general and regional anesthesia
• Provide perioperative hemodynamic monitoring and airway management
• Manage complex, high-acuity cardiac cases (including intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography if applicable)
• Provide immediate postoperative care and support acute pain management
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, cardiologists, CRNAs, and multidisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records and documentation

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesiology preferred
• Active West Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• DEA registration (or eligible)
• Current ACLS and BLS certification

• Hospital-based practice in Martinsburg with a collaborative anesthesia group
