Hematology & Medical Oncology Physician - Martinsburg, WV (Academic, Full-Time)

We’re looking for a board-certified or board-eligible Hematology & Medical Oncology physician to join a growing, patient-focused cancer program in Martinsburg, West Virginia. This role offers the chance to deliver comprehensive care across benign and malignant hematologic disorders and solid tumor malignancies while also teaching and mentoring trainees in a collaborative academic setting.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with hematologic disorders and solid tumors
• Create individualized treatment plans using current, evidence-based therapies
• Administer and manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted agents, and supportive care
• Interpret lab results, pathology reports, and diagnostic imaging to guide care
• Coordinate care with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, primary care providers, and other specialists
• Participate in tumor boards, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical program development
• Teach, mentor, and supervise learners at various training levels
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

• MD or DO (or foreign equivalent)
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and an accredited Hematology/Oncology fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology & Medical Oncology
• Eligible for, or able to obtain, a West Virginia medical license
