Locum Rapid Care NP/PA - Urgent Care Role in Martinsburg, WV (BLS/ACLS/ATLS Required)

Locum tenens opportunity in Martinsburg, WV to provide urgent/rapid care coverage. Treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced clinic alongside physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff.

Core responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform comprehensive assessments (medical, social, behavioral)
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests
• Develop and implement treatment and disposition plans
• Perform procedures within scope and credentialing
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with specialists
• Deliver patient education and clear discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation
• Participate in clinical education of students as applicable

Nurse Practitioner qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from a CCNE-accredited program
• National APRN certification; FNP or ACNP preferred
• Licensed or eligible for APRN licensure in West Virginia
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS; PALS encouraged

Physician Assistant qualifications

• Graduated from an ARC-PA-approved PA program (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
• NCCPA certification required
• Licensed or eligible for PA licensure in West Virginia
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS; PALS encouraged

Experience and skills

• Urgent care, acute care, or emergency medicine experience preferred; eligible new graduates considered
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and independent practice skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
