Locum Tenens General Radiology Physician - Windber, PA (Light Interventional Procedures)

We’re looking for a Board-Certified radiologist to join a locum tenens team in Windber, Pennsylvania. You’ll interpret diagnostic imaging studies and perform light interventional procedures onsite, working closely with the care team to deliver timely, high-quality patient care.

What you’ll do

• Interpret assigned diagnostic imaging studies during your shift.
• Perform image-guided biopsies (thyroid, bone, lung, liver, renal).
• Carry out CT- and ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Complete drainage procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drainage, chest tube placement, and cyst drainage.
• Perform diagnostic lumbar punctures, myelograms, and epidural procedures.
• Do arthrograms and joint injections for knee, elbow, hip, ankle, and shoulder.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

• Typical daily volume: ~90-100 studies per 8-hour shift
• Expected productivity: 60-70 wRVUs per shift
• EMR: Epic
• PACS: Merge
• Dictation: Fluency
• Setting: Onsite
• Weekends: None required
• On-call: None required

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certification in Radiology
• Active Pennsylvania medical license
• Current DEA registration
• Experience with light interventional radiology: image-guided biopsies, drainages, lumbar punctures, and arthrograms
