Locums Medical Oncologist - 3 Days/Wk Outpatient Clinic, Epic, No Call (Lansing, MI)

Join a busy outpatient oncology practice in Lansing, MI, providing comprehensive care to adult patients across the street from a Level I trauma center. This locum tenens opportunity emphasizes management of a broad range of malignancies and select benign hematologic conditions in a clinic-based setting using Epic.

Schedule and coverage

• Clinic days: 3 per week
• Hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• No weekends or on-call duties

Practice profile

• Setting: 100% outpatient clinic
• Patient population: Adults only
• Typical volume: ~17-20 patients per day
• EMR: Epic

Core responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with various cancers
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans
• Manage select benign hematologic disorders
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging
• Prescribe and monitor therapies, including follow-up care
• Coordinate care with specialists and the broader healthcare team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board certification in oncology
• Active Michigan medical license
• Current BLS certification
