Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician - Inpatient Coverage (Kearney, NE)

Locum tenens opportunity in Kearney, NE for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN to provide inpatient coverage at a 268-bed regional referral center.

Practice setting

• Acute care hospital with inpatient and outpatient services
• 268-bed regional referral center
• EMR: Epic
• Coverage: inpatient OB/GYN, including emergency department call

Core responsibilities

• Perform daily inpatient rounds on all OB/GYN service patients
• Evaluate and manage inpatient and ED consultations
• Respond to ED calls for urgent/precipitous deliveries (vaginal and cesarean)
• Provide gynecologic emergency evaluation, treatment, and consultation
• Diagnose and manage conditions of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period
• Perform major and minor abdominal and vaginal surgical procedures involving the female pelvis and related structures
• Manage obstetric and gynecologic emergencies and coordinate multidisciplinary care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic

Qualifications

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active Nebraska medical license or IMLC eligibility with active Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• Completion of OB/GYN residency from an ACGME- or AOA-accredited program
