Emergency Medicine Site Medical Director - Newburgh, NY (High-Volume ED; $290K SMD Stipend)

With seven new full-time physicians joining between July and October, this is a prime time to shape operations, mentorship, and clinical culture as the Site Medical Director.

• Competitive compensation: $290,000 annual SMD leadership stipend plus $225/hour days | $240/hour nights. Total compensation can reach $375,000-$475,000+.
• Generous start bonus: $60,000 for a two-year commitment (Medical Director terms may be negotiable).

• 55,000 annual ED visits with a 15-20% pediatric volume
• 23 ED beds plus 8 Fast Track beds; Level III Trauma Center
• Coverage model: 53 physician coverage hours and 37 APP coverage hours
• Current team: 13 full-time physicians and 9 full-time APPs
• Education & growth: Newly recruited EM physicians will support Ultrasound Education roles; teaching opportunities available with Internal Medicine residency rotations

What we’re looking for

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Active or eligible New York medical license and DEA registration
• Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications as applicable
• Significant Emergency Medicine experience; prior Medical Director or clinical leadership experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of ED operations, quality metrics, patient flow, and performance improvement
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
