Locums Emergency Medicine Physician - Immediate 1-Year Assignment in Frankfort, KY (No Call)

Location: Frankfort, KY

Assignment: One-year locum position, immediate start preferred.

Schedule:

• Rotational shifts
• No call responsibilities

Facility:

• Hospital, 173 beds
• Average daily census: ~85

Core responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with emergency conditions
• Provide timely acute care for illnesses and injuries
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; develop and implement treatment plans
• Perform emergency procedures as indicated
• Coordinate care with nursing staff, consultants, and other providers
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow clinical protocols

Required qualifications and certifications:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine; physicians with EM experience who are not ABEM-certified will be considered at the regular rate
• ATLS:
  • ABEM-certified physicians: proof of ATLS at least once
  • Non-board-certified physicians: current ATLS required
• Current ACLS (or completion of annual MSO-provided ACLS test)
• Current PALS certification
• Ability to work rotational schedule
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Credentialing and privileging:

• Temporary privileges may be available for candidates with clean credential files, subject to facility approval
• Non-ABEM candidates must complete an in-person interview with the Medical Staff Office prior to privileging
