Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist - Northampton, MA (Weekday OR & Endoscopy Coverage)

Join a locum tenens team in Northampton, MA, providing independent weekday anesthesia coverage across operating room and endoscopy settings. This role emphasizes reliable, consistent coverage, strong regional anesthesia skills, and experience with adult and healthy pediatric patients.

Compensation: $410-$420 per hour

Key responsibilities

• Deliver independent anesthesia care without supervision in OR and endoscopy settings.
• Manage cases across general surgery, plastics, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, endoscopy, and healthy pediatrics.
• Perform regional anesthesia and a variety of nerve blocks, including pediatric blocks.
• Cover endoscopy lists (comfort managing 16-20 cases per day expected).
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative period and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical and perioperative care teams.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
• Minimum commitment: 3 weeks per month
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days

Requirements

• Board certified in Anesthesiology or facility-specified eligibility
• Active Massachusetts medical license required (new licensing not supported)
• Massachusetts DEA registration
• BLS and ACLS certification
• ABA certification or eligibility
• Minimum one year of clinical experience

Consistent, dependable coverage and strong regional anesthesia proficiency are essential.
