Locums Emergency Medicine Physician - Flexible Days/Nights, Orlando Hospital & FSED Coverage

We’re looking for a Locums Emergency Medicine physician to help staff our main hospital campus in Orlando, FL, and the affiliated freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs) around the area. You’ll join a team that values flexibility and collaboration - site directors will interview candidates by phone and are available to answer any questions.

What the schedule looks like

• Flexible shifts: days, nights, and weekends.
• Main hospital campus: may offer shifts shorter than 12 hours.
• Affiliated FSEDs: require 12-hour shifts.
• Preference given to physicians comfortable covering both the main hospital and FSED locations.

About the facilities

• The FSEDs are fully equipped to provide comprehensive emergency care and include on-site laboratory and imaging services.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with emergency conditions.
• Provide stabilization and arrange transfers when higher-level care is needed.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Accurately document care and coordinate with nursing and ancillary clinical staff.

Qualifications

• ABEM or AOBEM Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine; OR
• Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with a minimum of 3 years and 6,000 hours of direct emergency medicine experience.
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• ATLS is recommended but not required for FSED coverage.
