Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician - Apopka, FL

Join a busy, modern freestanding emergency department in Apopka, Florida, where you’ll deliver 24/7 emergency care with the backing of a nearby Level II Trauma Center. This locum opportunity gives you the chance to work in a well-equipped setting with strong specialty and inpatient support for stabilization and seamless transfers when higher-acuity care is needed.

What you’ll find on site:

• About 12,385 projected patient visits per year
• 11 private patient care beds and a dedicated trauma room
• Full diagnostic imaging (CT, ultrasound, X-ray) and comprehensive EMS support, including an ambulance bay
• MEDITECH EMR for charting and record access
• Close integration with hospital-based intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists for easy transitions to inpatient care

Clinical focus:

• Provide continuous emergency services and manage stabilization and transfer of patients requiring admission or specialized care
• Work collaboratively with a nearby Level II Trauma Center for higher-acuity cases

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM), or
• Board Certified in Family Medicine with substantial Emergency Department experience
• PALS and ACLS required; ATLS preferred
