OB/GYN Hospitalist Physician - Austin, TX (Hospitalist-Only, 24-hr Shift Schedule)

Join a hospital-based obstetrics team in Austin, TX as a board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN hospitalist. This role is focused on in-hospital acute care, providing immediate OB/GYN expertise for obstetric emergencies. No clinic or outpatient responsibilities.

Schedule and Work Model

• Hospitalist-only position; no office management
• Typically 7-9 24-hour shifts per month
• No on-call duty outside scheduled shifts
• Immediate in-house coverage for obstetric emergencies
• Strong multidisciplinary labor and delivery support team

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care during assigned shifts
• Manage obstetric emergencies and labor/delivery complications
• Collaborate with nursing, anesthesia, neonatology, and other teams to ensure patient safety and quality care
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of ACGME-accredited Obstetrics & Gynecology residency
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Current DEA registration

Compensation & Benefits

• Base annual compensation: $300,000-$340,000
