Locum Tenens Family Medicine Physician - Outpatient Clinic, Petoskey MI (Mon-Fri, No Call)

A healthcare facility in Petoskey, Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician for a locum tenens assignment. This role offers a well-supported outpatient clinic setting with a regular schedule and no on-call responsibilities, ideal for a clinician who enjoys caring for patients of all ages.

Schedule and clinic details

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• No weekends, no night call
• Patient volume: ~20 patients per day
• EHR: Cerner

Clinical responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care for pediatric and adult patients
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Provide routine wellness, preventive care, and chronic disease follow-up
• Perform gynecologic exams, including pelvic exams and Pap smears
• Interpret EKGs and coordinate diagnostic workups
• Arrange referrals and ensure appropriate follow-up care
• Accurately document encounters in Cerner

Required qualifications

• Board Certified in Family Medicine
• Active Michigan medical license
• Prior Family Medicine experience with strong outpatient diagnostic skills
• Comfortable treating patients across the lifespan
• Must reside in Michigan
