OB/GYN Hospitalist Physician - Carbondale (Illinois) / Regional Opportunities

We are hiring Obstetrics and Gynecology Physicians to join our hospitalist team in Carbondale, Illinois.

Role summary

• Provide expert inpatient OB/GYN care for every pregnant patient presenting to the hospital.
• Manage obstetric emergencies and routine inpatient gynecologic care.
• Collaborate with local obstetricians; no office practice or administrative duties required.

Compensation and schedule

• Salary: $300,000-$340,000 annually plus full benefits.
• Full-time hospitalist with self-created schedules; typically 7-9, 24-hour shifts per month (about 21 days off monthly).
• No on-call responsibilities outside scheduled shifts.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Illinois medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Competence in managing obstetric emergencies and providing comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care.
