OB/GYN Hospitalist - $300-340K, Flexible Schedule, No Call (Kernersville, NC)

Location: Kernersville, NC (also opportunities in Monroe and Rocky Mount, NC)

Position summary
Provide inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care as part of a hospitalist team, ensuring experienced physician coverage for every pregnant patient who presents to the hospital. Work collaboratively with community obstetricians while maintaining schedule autonomy and a strong work/life balance.

Compensation and schedule

• Salary: $300,000-$340,000 annually plus full benefits
• Full-time hospitalist role; typically 7-9 24-hour shifts per month (approximately 21 days off monthly)
• No office management responsibilities and no external on-call obligations
• Flexible scheduling with potential for performance-based bonuses

Key responsibilities

• Manage labor and delivery, obstetric emergencies, and comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care
• Coordinate care with local obstetricians, nurses, and perioperative teams
• Participate in quality improvement, protocols, and safety initiatives
• Provide clear patient and family communication and documentation

Required qualifications

• MD or DO; board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• North Carolina medical license or ability to obtain one
• Demonstrated ability to manage obstetric emergencies and inpatient OB/GYN care
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care skills
