Emergency Medicine Physician (Independent Contractor) - North Augusta, SC - $300/HR Days, $325/HR Nights

Join a team of 16 emergency physicians and 9 advanced practice providers delivering emergency care in North Augusta, SC. Team includes recent graduates and experienced clinicians in a collaborative environment.

Location and Facilities

• Medical Center: 273-bed community hospital with a 30-bed ED; certified chest pain and stroke center.
  • Annual ED volume: 43,000 visits
  • Coverage: 39 hours/day physician, 30 hours/day APP
• The ER at Sweetwater (freestanding ED, North Augusta, GA): 10 beds
  • Annual volume: 23,000 visits
  • Coverage: 24 hours/day physician, 12 hours/day APP

Clinical and Institutional Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum emergency care across both sites.
• Participate in hospital committees (credentials, sepsis, peer review, medical executive).
• Maintain strong working relationships with specialists and administration.
• Engage in teaching: APP students and internal/family medicine residents.

Schedule, Employment Model, and Compensation

• Independent contractor arrangement; flexible schedule.
• Full-time minimum: 120 hours/month.
• Pay: $300/hour (day), $325/hour (night).
• $75,000 sign-on bonus available with full-time shift commitment.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine, or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
