Job Description
Fort Pierce, FL - Locum tenens position for Emergency Medicine physicians to provide acute care across emergency department settings.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of emergent conditions.
- Perform history and physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate treatment plans.
- Provide procedural care as indicated (airway management, laceration repair, fracture care, wound management, etc.).
- Administer medications and coordinate patient disposition (admit, observe, discharge, transfer).
- Document care accurately and timely in the medical record and communicate effectively with nursing and consulting teams.
Requirements
- ABEM or AOBEM board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine.
- Active Florida medical license.
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
- Eligible to work as a 1099 independent contractor.
