Radiology Physicians - Chief of Radiology, Diagnostic, Breast Imaging & Interventional (MA)

Brown University Health seeks board-certified or board-eligible radiologists to join our hospital-based practice serving southeastern Massachusetts. Opportunities available for four roles: Chief of Radiology (leadership), Diagnostic Radiologist, Breast Imaging Radiologist, and Interventional Radiologist.

Roles and responsibilities

• Chief of Radiology (Leadership)

  • Provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for the radiology department while maintaining an active clinical practice
  • Lead growth initiatives, physician engagement, quality improvement, and coordination across the radiology service line
  • Oversee staffing, performance metrics, budgeting, and partnerships with hospital and academic leadership

• Diagnostic Radiologist

  • Interpret CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and X-ray studies
  • Provide high-quality, timely diagnostic reads in a collaborative practice
  • Opportunities to develop subspecialty interests and participate in teaching with Brown University Health

• Breast Imaging Radiologist

  • Provide screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided breast procedures
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary breast care team to ensure patient-centered care and quality outcomes

• Interventional Radiologist

  • Perform a full spectrum of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in a procedure-focused practice
  • Opportunity to expand services, develop programs, and contribute to clinical growth

Compensation and benefits

• Chief of Radiology: $500,000-$700,000+ (dependent on experience and credentials)
• Diagnostic & Breast Imaging Radiologist: $475,000-$535,000
• Interventional Radiologist: $490,000-$550,000

Minimum qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (IR certification for Interventional role)
• Fellowship training or documented clinical focus in Breast Imaging or Interventional Radiology, as applicable
• Prior leadership experience preferred for Chief role
• Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts

Practice setting

• Hospital-based radiology practice affiliated with Brown University Health, serving southeastern Massachusetts and the Providence area
