Orthopedic Trauma Surgery APP (NP/PA) - Carbondale, IL - Full-Time, Pelvic/Acetabular Fracture Focus

Join a high-acuity orthopedic trauma team in Carbondale, Illinois, as an Advanced Practice Provider focused exclusively on orthopedic trauma and acute care. This clinical role manages complex injuries - including pelvic and acetabular fractures - in a fast-paced, non-elective environment, partnering closely with surgeons and the multidisciplinary trauma team.

Schedule & compensation

• Full-time: 175 ten-hour shifts per year; on-site coverage 6:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., seven days a week
• Annual salary: $120,000
• Additional shifts beyond 175 paid at $686 per shift (paid quarterly)
• Annual CME stipend

Clinical responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage orthopedic trauma and acute orthopedic conditions
• Provide care for complex injuries, including pelvic and acetabular fractures
• Support emergency department and inpatient trauma management
• Participate in two morning follow-up clinics for ongoing trauma care
• Coordinate treatment plans and transitions of care with the orthopedic surgery team
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Orthopedic, trauma, or acute care experience preferred
