Location: Oak Bluffs, MA
Compensation
- $90-$95 per hour
Schedule
- 40 hours/week; four 10-hour shifts
- Available shifts: 8:00 AM-6:00 PM or 12:00 PM-10:00 PM
- Days, nights, and weekends required
Clinical Setting & Volume
- 25-bed emergency facility
- Adult and pediatric patients
- Average census: ~10 patients per shift
- Primarily lower-acuity / fast-track cases
- EMR: Epic
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain histories and perform physical exams
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests; develop and implement treatment plans
- Manage patient care and discharges
- Perform procedures including suturing/laceration repair, incision & drainage, splinting, fracture management, joint reductions, and intubations
- Independently manage assigned patients; consult supervising physician as needed
- Work independently or collaboratively with physicians depending on patient acuity
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts license
- For NPs: FNP or AGACNP with authorization to evaluate and treat pediatric patients
- For PAs: PA license with pediatric practice eligibility in Massachusetts
- Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience (urgent care only does not qualify)
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
