Job Description
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Hospitalist experience to provide inpatient coverage in Iowa. This open-need opportunity offers flexible scheduling with no minimum commitment and the ability to work up to 21 consecutive days. Providers will care for an adult patient population, perform inpatient rounding, manage admissions, and provide coverage in a community hospital setting. The facility offers clinical care coordinator support and access to telehealth intensivist consultations.
Overview
- Open-need coverage
- One provider per shift
- Trauma Level IV
- Adults 18+
- Flexible scheduling with no minimum commitment
- Average of 1–3 admissions per day
- Ventilator management required
- Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response events
- Providers must remain on campus during shifts
- Telehospitalist support available for cross-coverage
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Internal Medicine training required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- New graduates accepted
- Nurse Practitioners must have at least two years of experience
