The Opportunity

Lead an Occupational Medicine clinic in Des Moines, Iowa, as Clinic Medical Director. Join a physician practice with a family environment, with the benefits and support of a large organization. Training in Occupational Medicine is provided, and you will have the opportunity to teach residents and students.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. No nights, weekends or call. Scope of practice: Occupational Health and Urgent Care.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $229,008 - $285,001 per year, with annual merit increase opportunity

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, leading by example and creating an exceptional patient experience
• Provide leadership in healthcare management to ensure day-to-day execution of the medical model, collaborating with therapists and specialists to drive optimal clinical outcomes and case closure
• Manage clinicians and support staff, and comply with APC supervisory requirements
• Create a professional and collaborative working environment
• Work with leaders to identify and implement changes for continuous clinic improvement
• Maintain relationships with clinic clients and payers
• Work with the clinic leadership team to manage clinical and support staffing levels
• Provide input to the clinic budget and key business metrics

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted medical license
• Unrestricted DEA license and dispensing license for the state of jurisdiction (required prior to start date)
• Eligible to participate in Medicare
• Board certification or eligibility in an ABMS or AOA recognized specialty preferred
• FMCSA NRCME certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
