Job Description
- 3 weeks of coverage needed -- exact weeks flexible
- 8 am - 5 pm daily with light night and weekend call
- Call averages 1 - 2 phone questions per week -- rarely in-person
- 8,200 surgical and 4,500 cytology cases annually
- Mix of general surgical pathology -- GYN, urology, ENT, skin, colon
- Frozen sections and grossing required -- techs assist with smaller specimens
- Cytologists handle reads -- pathologist reviews positives and 10% for CLIA
- Bone marrow cases can be sent out if needed
- Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
- Assignment details and time entry in online portal
