Board-Certified Gastroenterologist (Inpatient/Procedural) - Northampton, MA

Board-certified Gastroenterologist needed in Northampton, MA for inpatient and procedural coverage.

Compensation

• $540-$550 per hour
• Holiday coverage paid at 1.4x
• First 8 hours of orientation non-billable

Schedule & call

• Primary shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (10-hour days)
• Night call: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.
• Physician serves as second call with PA support
• No PA coverage 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.; additional physician calls possible during this gap
• Optional weekend call: Friday 3:00 p.m. through Monday 7:00 a.m. (weekend call begins Friday at 3:00 p.m. to cover PA gap)
• Minimum commitment: weekday coverage or weekend call

Clinical responsibilities

• Daily inpatient rounds
• Evaluate and manage inpatient GI patients
• Perform and supervise add-on procedures (typically finishing around 5:00 p.m.)
• Perform upper endoscopies, colonoscopies, and general GI procedures
• Coordinate care with PA and multidisciplinary team

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Active Massachusetts medical license
• Active DEA registration
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
