Locum Tenens Urology Physician - 24-Hour Call Coverage (Cottonwood, AZ)

We’re seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible urologist to provide locum tenens coverage at an acute care hospital in Cottonwood, Arizona. You’ll provide 24-hour call coverage and handle a range of urologic procedures in both the OR and clinic.

Schedule & coverage

• November 21: 8:00 AM-8:00 AM (24-hour shift)
• November 22: 8:00 AM-8:00 AM (24-hour shift)
• 24-hour call coverage with an average callback time of roughly 2-6 hours per day
• Expect about 3-4 surgeries per week

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide inpatient urology coverage and respond to call needs
• Evaluate and manage patients with urologic conditions
• Perform urologic surgeries and procedures in both operating room and clinic settings, including:
  • Ureteroscopy
  • Laser lithotripsy
  • TURP
  • TURBT
  • Flexible cystoscopy

Preferred additional procedures

• TRUS biopsy
• In-clinic vasectomy

• 99-bed acute care hospital
• Adult Level IV Trauma Center
• Robotic surgical technology available (robotic experience not required)
• Disposable flexible cystoscopes available

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
• Active Arizona medical license or an IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) required
• DEA registration required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience
