**Palliative Care Hospitalist NP opening in Hickory, NC**
Full-Time | 7 On / 7 Off | 7 AM–7 PM | Hospital-Based
An established hospital in Hickory, North Carolina is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join its Palliative Care Hospitalist team. This position involves collaborating with hospitalist physicians to provide direct clinical care to acutely ill adult patients in an inpatient setting.
**Opportunity Highlights:**
- Full-time, hospital-based Nurse Practitioner position
- 7-on/7-off schedule
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Collaborate directly with hospitalist physicians
- Provide clinical care to acutely ill adult patients ages 18 and older
- Perform patient histories and physical examinations
- Evaluate patients and establish diagnoses
- Prescribe therapeutic treatment regimens as indicated
- Interpret diagnostic results and patient responses to treatment
- Work within a collaborative inpatient care environment
**Candidate Requirements:**
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program and Nurse Practitioner Program
- Current North Carolina RN license or Nursing Compact State licensure
- Board certification through one of the following:
- ANCC Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- ANCC Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
- ANCC Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
- AANP Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience in an acute care setting
- AHA BCLS certification for healthcare providers
- AHA ACLS certification for healthcare providers within 12 months of employment
