Parkland has earned distinction as one of America’s Best Hospitals by U.S News and World Report every year since 1994.PRIMARY PURPOSEPlans, organizes, administers and reviews the Physical Medicine Rehabiliation (PMR) department education and training program.MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONSEducation:- Must have a Master¿s degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, or related field.Experience:- Must have four (4) years of therapy-related experience.Equivalent Education and/or Experience:- May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements. Certification/Registration/Licensure:- Must be registered as a licensed physical therapist, occupational therapist or speech language pathologist in the State of Texas- Must maintain membership with appropriate association related to licensure - Must have current healthcare provider CPR course completion card from one of the following: oAmerican Heart Association oAmerican Red Cross oMilitary Training NetworkSkills or Special Abilities:- Must have good verbal and written communication skills. - Must demonstrate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and data base management software. - Must demonstrate good organizational skills. - Must be a didactic and clinical resource for clinical management staff. - Must guide quality and service initiative within the Therapy Department. - Must demonstrate patient centered/patient valued care. - Must be able to demonstrate effective supervisory skills.
