Washington Elks Therapy Program for Children, Inc.
Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Are you tired of all the paperwork required for insurance reimbursement? Need a daily change of pace?
Then check us out!
The Washington Elks Therapy Program for Children, Inc. is a non-profit, home-based therapy program serving children birth to 21 years. Established in 1954, the Washington Elks Therapy Program for Children is an integral part of the therapy delivery system for children throughout the state. We have no third-party payers. Because our services are fully funded by the members and friends of the Washington Elks, therapy is provided free of charge to the child and family being served. This allows us to focus our attention on the needs of our clients, not insurance driven paperwork.
Our mission is to fill gaps in therapy services for the children of Washington State. That may include providing a particular type of intervention missing in the child's program or providing therapy to those who do not qualify for existing services or for those where no service exists or is limited. Children are accepted to the program because they need therapy, not because of their degree of disability. All children, with a prescription for therapy, are considered. We give preference to young children and those who are medically fragile. Most of our children are under eight years old, however, we see some older children as well.
This is an ideal position for therapists who work well independently and value quality intervention with children and families. We have positions available in both Eastern and Western Washington. Pediatric and/or home health experience is preferred. NDT and/or SI certification are a plus. Our therapists live in the area they serve and work out of their home office. They control their own schedule and caseload. They are supported by their peers and a clinical supervisor and work collaboratively with other service providers within their community.
We have openings in the following units:
Unit 1 - Thurston, Lewis and Grays Harbor Counties
Unit 4 - Adams, Grant, Lincoln, and part of Douglas and Chelan Counties
Unit 9 - South King County
Unit 12- Yakima and Kittitas Counties
Benefits: We pay mileage if you chose to drive your own car or we offer a company car you can use for both business and personal use at a limited cost to you. Our benefits package for full-time employment includes health/dental/vision insurance, 401K program, vacation, sick, holiday leave, and continuing education reimbursement.
Join our passionate team of therapists. Make a real difference.
