Job Description

SageWest Health Care is actively recruiting a full-time OBGYN to join our established group, along with great office support, a welcoming community, and a flexible scheduling for work/life balance. Combined, our Lander and Riverton facilities offer a total of 133 beds, providing comprehensive medical services to the communities for a population of over 40,000 in Fremont County, Wyoming including 24/7 Hospitalist and emergency care, surgery, women’s health, and advanced diagnostics, committed to quality, safety, and community wellness. About the position:

Hospital employed position
Mix of OB and GYN - GYN is newer to the team and growing
Clinic Hours: 40 hours/week including one OR block/week
General Schedule: To start — 4 clinic days and 1 OR day (based on a 5-day work week)
Call: 10 days/mo
Average # of patients seen per day: Practice is still building
Support staff: Typically one clinical support/provider
Practitioners: Joining 1 OB/GYN and 1 FM/OB, 3 PCPs, 1 GS, 1 OB, 1 PT ENT, 1 PT IM, 1 PT GS

Qualifications:

BE/BC in OBGYN
Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WY and DEA with full prescriptive authority

About SageWest - Lander

SageWest – Lander is an 89-bed facility, fully accredited by The Joint Commission, licensed by the state of Wyoming and approved for acceptance of Medicare patients. SageWest – Lander features a full-time emergency room, nursery, cardiac rehab, a behavioral health program and a comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation unit. The hospital’s state-of-the-art medical equipment includes MRI, 64-slice CT, and digital mammography. The Community

Nestled in the foothills of the Wind River Mountains on the banks of the Popo Agie River, the city of Lander offers the best in small-town living with stunning scenery and abundant resources for the outdoor lover.

At an elevation of 5,357 feet, Lander features a Historic Downtown District with numerous art galleries, specialty shops, restaurants and cafes. A greenway that parallels the scenic Popo Agie River is a favorite destination for walkers. The city’s Eagle Bronze Foundry casts and produces many of the world’s largest bronze statues and monuments. Lander also has a strong public education system. Central Wyoming College, located just 24 miles away in Riverton, has a Lander extension office and offers local classes.

Recreation

Lander is the perfect place for people who love the outdoors. Here you can find world-class rock climbing, mountain biking, fishing, horseback riding and camping. The Wind River Mountains have more than 40 peaks that top 13,000 feet, and offer more than 150 glaciers. The Wind River Mountains also contain the tallest peak in Wyoming - Gannett Peak at 13,804 feet - and more than 735,000 acres of continuous wilderness area, the largest such designation in the continental U.S. Moose, elk, bighorn sheep, antelope and other wildlife are abundant. During the winter, there is cross-country skiing on six miles of groomed trails in the South Pass area. Snowmobiling is another popular activity. The Lander/Sinks Canyon area has 70 miles of groomed trails. Lander is the site to the southern-most trailhead to the Continental Divide Snowmobile Trail, which you can ride all the way into Yellowstone National Park. Lander is also one of the few Wyoming towns that allows snowmobiles on city streets. Ice-skating and hockey are other popular winter activities at Lander City Park. Fishing spots are plentiful. Christina and Louis Lakes are known for their lake trout and brook trout. Boysen Reservoir is a popular spot for anglers fishing for walleye, ling, perch, catfish, trout and sauger.
