About McDowell Hospital:
- Critical Access Hospital features 30 inpatient beds, including five labor and delivery suites
- The new facility also features an expanded emergency department and a state-of-the-art surgery center
- Outpatient services include wound clinic, a full laboratory, digital mammography, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine and rehab therapy.
Established in 1844, the history-rich small congenial city of Marion sits at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains, "Where Main Street meets the mountains." Just off Interstate 40, Marion is located approximately 35 miles east of Asheville and 20 miles west of Morganton.
