Job Summary:

HCA Healthcare is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in coastal Fort Pierce and its Freestanding Emergency Department in Vero Beach.

Qualified Candidates

  • Must be board certified or board eligible thru the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM)
  • Must have Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Must have completed an Emergency Medicine Residency and Board Certified within 5 years
  • Covers Vero Beach Freestanding Emergency Department 2-3 times a month mixed in with schedule at main Emergency Department

  • 42-bed Emergency Department including 5 fast-track plus 5 monitored beds
  • 3 trauma bays, including 1 pediatric
  • 2.0 pph
  • 70 hours total of physician coverage (main Emergency Department and Peds Emergency Department incl)
  • 60 hours of APP coverage
  • 26% admission rate
  • Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane
  • Interventional cardiac cath
  • Code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia capability
  • Several dedicated Emergency Department glide scopes and ultrasound
