Locum Tenens - Family Medicine Physician - Ironwood, MI

Assignment Details:
Coverage Dates: ASAP - Ongoing (3-6 month commitment ideal)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Call: No weekend/night call required unless the physician can perform pediatric/nursery call for hospital admits; pediatric call is minimal with around 100 births per year
Patient Volume: 12-25 patients per shift

Practice Setting:
Outpatient clinic with a small pediatric component
Pediatric care would be a small part of the clinic panel; mostly adult medicine
Willing to accept adult medicine-only candidates if not comfortable with pediatric call

Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care to adult patients; pediatric care if able
Well-woman care required
Pediatric duties include care for newborns and general outpatient pediatrics (preferred but not mandatory)
Option for minimal pediatric inpatient care and newborn resuscitation if qualified

Requirements:
Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
Licensure: Must hold an active Michigan medical license or IMLC
Certifications: BLS
Experience: Must be comfortable with general outpatient family medicine; pediatric and newborn care preferred if offering pediatric call coverage
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days
