Position Detail:
Frye Regional Medical Center, 53m from Charlotte NC, is seeking a BE/BC Cardiovascular or Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a hospital-employed practice with two existing CV Surgeons.
- The Frye Heart Center is an integrated Cardiology service line that consists of Interventional, Structural Heart, EP and Cardiologists
- Experience preferred but not required
- Call is 1:3
- Full scope of adult cardiothoracic and cardiovascular procedures
- Preferred Fellowship in transcatheter valve and complex aortic surgery
- Duke Heart Network affiliate; the first in western North Carolina. Backed by the resources of the Duke Heart Center, FRMC has access to the most current Duke training and staff education, evidence-based guidelines and practices when it comes to heart and heart-related issues
- Position is available to both Cardiothoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons, in the essence of true program growth

- Advanced techniques in coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
- Endoscopic vein harvest
- Multi-arterial grafting
- Arrhythmia surgery
- Endovascular surgery
- Thoracic aortic surgery
- Aortic aneurysm repair
- Thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR)
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
- Valvular repair / replacement
General Thoracic Procedures:
- Advanced diagnostics and treatment of benign lung conditions and lung cancer
- Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS)
- Lobectomy
- Mediastinoscopy
- Navigational bronchoscopy
- Wedge resections
- Management of pericardial fluid collections
- Management of pneumothorax and pleural fluid collections
- Minimally invasive video assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS)
- Surgical treatment for complications of emphysema
- Surgical treatment of diseases of the mediastinum
- Thoracic trauma management
Open Heart and Minimally Invasive Valvular Procedures:
- Aortic valve replacement
