Job Summary:

HCA Florida Aventura Hospital seeks a Trauma Surgeon to join our Level II trauma program.

Qualified Candidates:

Experience in critical care or trauma, as well as a surgical first assist
Comfortable working nights
NCPPA certification
Must have excellent communication skills - bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Aventura is a young, vibrant community with a diverse demographic base and is recognized internationally as a premier location in which to live, shop and play. It is located between Fort Lauderdale and Miami on the Intercoastal Waterway, between 2 major south Florida airports and 2 of the largest and most popular seaports in the world. Upscale communities are in Miami and Ft Lauderdale just 20 minutes away.

In order to address the growing number of families with school age children, the City Commission chose to take an aggressive approach to meet its changing demographics. Doors opened Fall of 2003 to the City's first Charter Elementary School built adjacent to the new Community/Recreation Center. The 45,000 square foot state-of-the-art school serves 600 Aventura schoolchildren from kindergarten to 5th grade and is the first municipal-run charter school in Miami-Dade County.
