Job Description: Certified Nurse Midwife (Locum Tenens)
Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology
Position Type: Locum Tenens (1–2 weeks per month coverage)
Start Date: ASAP
Coverage: Long-term ongoing locum coverage to fill vacancy due to resignation
Responsibilities

Provide midwifery care to patients in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, and via telehealth

Manage patient care during scheduled clinic hours and on-call periods

Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff in a multidisciplinary environment

Cover call duties and scheduled clinical hours as part of the team

Maintain documentation and compliance with Marshfield Clinic policies and standards
-
Coverage needed approximately 1–2 weeks per month
-
Call ratio approximately 1:4 or 1:5 (to be determined)

Call includes coverage on holidays including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and Christmas Eve (half-day starting at noon)

No additional call or after-hours requirements beyond scheduled call and clinic hours

Certified Nurse Midwife credential
-
Eligible for relevant licensure and credentialing with Marshfield Clinic Health System

Comfortable working in outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings

Ability to collaborate with supervising physicians and midwives
-
Travel to Chippewa Valley Airport or Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) Airport as needed for coverage

Support staff provided (3 clinical, 5 total support personnel)

Locum coverage is part of a group of 5 CNMs with 1 resignation prompting the vacancy

Vendor and travel coordination supported by Marshfield Clinic

Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner
-
Communication: Beeper system with 15-minute response expectation
