Responsibilities

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Neonatologist to join our growing team at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL. This is a unique opportunity to practice in a high-acuity, autonomous environment with a supportive team and a hospital committed to expanding its Women’s & Children’s services.

 

Practice Highlights:

  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible scheduling with 24-hour shifts and home call, allowing for a sustainable and rewarding lifestyle.
  • Comprehensive Coverage:
    • 25-bed Level III NICU (ADC: 17)
    • 36-bed Newborn Nursery (ADC: 15)
    • ~3,500 annual deliveries
    • Accepts all gestational ages (excluding surgical cases)
  • Advanced Services: Body cooling, oscillators, and RN/RT-staffed regional transport team.
  • Collaborative Team: Work with a cohesive group of experienced NNPs and supportive OB hospitalists, MFM, and subspecialty telehealth providers.
  • Academic Engagement: Teaching opportunities with University of Central Florida family medicine residents.
