Job Description
St. Francis-Emory Healthcare, located in Columbus, GA is recruiting an Audiologist to provide audiological services that include, but are not limited to, diagnostic testing, screenings, aural rehabilitation, and hearing aid fittings for pediatrics and adults.
Minimum Education
- Master’s degree from an accredited organization or a higher level degree
- PCE or Certificate of Clinical Competence x Preferred
- Must be aware of Audiology Scope of Practice as stated in AHSA guidelines.
Minimum Work Experience
- Diagnostic and Neurological ABR experience with pediatric and adult patients required.
Required Skills
- Must meet state licensure requirements at all times and remain aware of changing rules, regulations, and technology in the field of audiology.
Essential Functions:
- Administers and interprets audiological tests, develops a treatment plan, and establishes goals for each patient.
- Provides rehabilitative audiological services.
- Monitors progress of recommendations and treatment plan and reassesses as appropriate.
- Provides case management services and makes client referrals to other social or health service agencies when necessary.
- Provides patient and family counseling when appropriate.
- Maintains calibration of equipment and related reports, and maintains the audiological suite, materials, and supplies.
