Job Summary:

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is seeking a full-time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic cardiology care team. This hospital-based role focuses on delivering high-quality care to post-surgical and ICU cardiac patients, supporting both cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons in Austin and Round Rock, TX.

Qualified Candidates: 
  • Board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Texas licensure required
  • No Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in cardiology and/or ICU settings
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • No night shifts
  • Provide inpatient cardiac care, including rounding, assessments, and care coordination.
  • Develop and implement discharge plans under the supervision of cardiology providers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Cover patient care responsibilities at Round Rock Medical Center as needed.
  • Participate in weekend and holiday rounding across St. David’s HealthCare hospitals (approximately one weekend every two months).
