Job Description
Opportunity Highlights:
We are seeking a Cardiac Surgeon to provide weekend call coverage. This is a 24-hour call-only position with flexible scheduling—typically one weekend (Friday-Monday AM) per month. The call schedule can be tailored to provider availability.
Position Details:
- Friday 8 AM – Monday 8 AM
- 24-hour weekend call or night call
- Call is off-site from hotel; 30-minute response time required
- APPs handle non-urgent office/floor calls
- Emergency cardiac surgery, ECMO, tamponade
- Common procedures include CABG, TAVR, Aortic Valve Replacements, Aneurysm Repair, MitraClip, PFO Closure
- No clinic responsibilities
- 2 dedicated ORs for cardiac surgery daily
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Eligible
- Active PA license or willingness to obtain
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPR
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- DEA license required
