Job Summary:

Methodist Healthcare System is seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Outpatient Cardiology team in San Antonio, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a collaborative group of cardiologists in a patient-centered environment focused on delivering high-quality cardiovascular care.

Position Details:
  • Conduct outpatient cardiology evaluations, follow-ups, and routine management
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Educate patients on cardiovascular health, medications, and lifestyle modifications
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings
Qualifications:
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Texas
  • National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
  • Experience in cardiology or internal medicine preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Approximately 2,000 physicians representing virtually all medical specialties comprise the Methodist's medical staff.  It also maintains one of the highest nurse-to-patient ratios in the Southwest.
